Successful PPMA 2008 Exhibition for Marden Edwards and Wraps UK
Post date: 17 October 2008
Given the recent stock market turmoil and many companies hesitant investment plans, it was refreshing to attend the recent PPMA processing and packaging machinery show held recently at the NEC in Birmingham.
From the moment that the show was opened by Lord Digby Jones of Birmingham, Minister for Trade and Investment, the tone was set for the next three days. Lord Jones speech, his last as a Minister, did much to inspire his audience of machinery suppliers. Somehow this seemed to communicate itself to the visitors who flocked to the show with high quality enquiries and real projects.
The Marden Edwards stand showed off the latest Evo-Fold low cost overwrapper as well as the complete range of Marden Edwards Shrinkwrap L sealing shrink wrapping machines. Excellent enquiries were received for all the equipment on the stand. The Evo-Fold machine was sold directly from the stand to an existing Marden Edwards customer, the confectionery manufacturer Tunnock's in Scotland.
Such was the quality of the exhibition that Marden Edwards had no hesitation in signing up for the next PPMA show in 2009.
