David Aimson runs Supernova 5K in Bournemouth
Post date: 29 October 2018
Earlier this month, Marden Edwards' Finance Director, David Aimson, took part in the Supernova 5K run as part of the Bournemouth Marathon Festival. The event took place on Saturday 6th October, 2018 and was well-attended with over 1700 runners participating. With a run time of just over 31 minutes David should be feeling very proud of himself.
David ran the Supernova 5K in memory of a family member, Amelia-Grace, raising awareness as well as much needed funds for the charity set-up in Amelia's memory.
Amelia's Rainbow is a charity supporting children who suffer from chronic, life-limiting, serious and terminal illnesses in Dorset and the sournding area. The charity's aim is to provide a caring, fun and enjoyable environment for these special children, funding activities such as family days out, dancing lessons and swimming, as well a providing games and toys to help enrich the children's lives. Amelia's Rainbow also have a beach hut in Southbourne, and a retreat holiday home in New Milton which they offer to families in Dorset whose children are affected by chronic and terminal illnesses.
David raised £250.00 plus a matching donation from Marden Edwards bringing to total to £500.00 that he'll donate to Amelia's Rainbow.
